26 January 2010: More HD channels in the basic package Things
will get going on 12 February: ARD HD and ZDF
HD will celebrate the official start of their programme along with the starting gun for the 2010
Winter Olympics in Vancouver. After the Olympic Games, the two public service
stations will continue their HDTV operations, but will concentrate on different types of programmes.
While ARD HD will broadcast mainly a varied culture programme, ZDF HD will emphasize sports and events
in original HD quality. The two channels are part of cablecom’s basic digital package.
10 January 2010: MTV Entertainment around the clock with new programme Starting
immediately, MTV Entertainment will have a new motto every day: with everything
from cult shows and MTV series specials to live concerts and festivals, there is something for every
taste here. Of particular interest are the weekly music specials, live concerts, festivals and music
sweeps. Non-stop, 24 hours a day: the best of MTV on MTV Entertainment. The
channel is a component of the cablecom collection as well as of the music&clips theme package.
