reasons of copyright, some programmes (usually foreign films) as well as sports broadcasts of the
BHT
1,
HRT TV 1 and
Rai Sport Più channels are encrypted and
cannot be received in Switzerland. For various reasons, the channels mentioned above do not have an
international right of distribution; as a result, they can be received in full only in their home country.
4 January 2010: "Fox Life" has terminated broadcasting at the end of the
yearThe entertainment channel Fox Life (part of movie&stars or cablecom collection)
is bidding farewell to its viewers at midnight on 31 December 2009.
A replacement channel
will be launched in Spring 2010 on the same channel position.
4 January 2010: Sci Fi’s new name is Syfy The legendary science
fiction channel has changed its name and its logo from today. Syfy’s range of programmes remains intact
and will continue to captivate with its spectacular space operas and series.
3 November 2009: Rebranding of BBC Prime to BBC entertainmentAs

9 October 2009: Filles TV changes to JuneFilles
TV, the French channel for girls, is not only changing its name on
13 October 09
but also its complete program output. The new
June channel is aimed particularly
at young, dynamic women aged between 20 and 30. The channel's programs will range from reality shows
to fashion magazines and will also include popular series such as "Skins" or "The L World".
26 May 2009: E! Entertainment in FrenchStarting on 9 June
2009, the options “movie&stars” and “cablecom collection” will feature a direct link to Hollywood:
E! Entertainment. In exclusive reports, news and shows, the channel will report on the life of stars.
19 May 2009: The Catholic TV channel KTO to complement the basic digital serviceAs
of 9 June, the French-speaking niche channel KTO will, in addition to religious programmes, documentaries

3 February 2009: Cinécinéma culte has been renamed Cinécinéma clubThe
channel Cinécinéma culte is now called CinéCinéma club, the range of programmes has not been changed.
1 February 2009: NASN will has been renamed ESPN AMERICAThe
new name and associated logo has now been confirmed, nearly two years after the official take-over of
NASN. The debut of
ESPN AMERICA will be celebrated today at the same time as the
Super Bowl Sunday broadcast. The programme will remain unchanged and will continue to concentrate on
North American sports events.
15 January 2009: New picture format for BBC World NewsWith
immediate effect, all programmes of the
BBC World News channel will be transmitted
in the new 16:9 picture format.
29 December 2008: National Geographic France HDWith effect
from January 2009 it will be possible to subscribe to this channel in the
“cablecom HD”
option for CHF 7.50/mth. and in combination with the 24 TV channels in the “cablecom collection” as
“cablecom collection & HD” for CHF 20/mth.
28 October 2008: SF info in the basic digital serviceThe German
Swiss programme
SF info, which keeps you informed about the most important events
in Switzerland, broadcasts sports events and shows repeats of the two main channels’ own productions,
is now available in addition to SF 1 and SF zwei.
23 October 2008: BBC HD, another HD channelOn 28 October the
basic service is being expanded by another HD-quality channel: the English channel BBC HD shows the
best of the BBC channels in high-resolution picture quality and stunning sound quality.
1 Ocotber 2008: “Sailing Channel” becomes “Yacht & Sail”!From
today all sailing fans will find the sports channel “Sailing Channel” under its new name “Yacht &
Sail” (Y&S). This renaming goes hand in hand with the introduction of the new channel logo. The
focus of the channel’s content will remain unchanged.
9 September 2008: Reorganisation of the channel order in the TV areaCablecom
has
activated a number of additional digital channels over the past few days. This may lead to a change in the channel order in the digital and analog area for some customers groups.

9 September for 35 CHF/month throughout Switzerland, you can subscribe to cablecom
portugues premium, the international version of the most popular Brazilian channel TV Globo Internacional.
As well as the Portuguese channel RTP Int. in the basic package, you can continue to use the cablecom
portugues option with the TV channels SIC Int. and Record TV for 10 CHF/month.
